SUPERVISION SERVICES

Ursula Camelo-Cerro, LPC, LCPC, provides a safe, supportive, trustworthy, and open learning environment where the supervisee may develop and improve professional competencies and skill sets. The supervisory relationship and learning processes rely mainly on introspection, feedback, and a strength-based approach.

As your supervisor, Ursula Camelo-Cerro follows the ACA Code of Ethics, the Washington, DC, Board of Professional Counseling, the Maryland Board of Professional Counseling, and the National Board of Certified Counselors. Using an intersectionality vision, she firmly believes in supervisors being aware of multicultural and diversity issues and addressing them throughout the supervising process.

Ursula's personal supervisor philosophy is based on the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM), which is based on a Cognitive Behavioral approach. The basic idea behind adding cognitive behavioral supervision (CBS) is that it helps supervisors be proactive in their approach to supervision by utilizing processes such as learning, social responsibilities and impact, and human development concepts.
